Our History

Vesper Country Club

A Legacy Along the River

Established in 1875, Vesper Country Club has stood for one hundred fifty years as a quiet constant in a fast-changing world—a place where traditions are honored, friendships flourish, and generations gather to enjoy the best of New England life.

Originally founded by a small group of passionate sportsmen and social visionaries, the Club began as a humble retreat along the banks of the Merrimack River. Over time, it grew into a beloved institution—welcoming families, hosting unforgettable events, and developing one of the region’s most celebrated golf courses.

Through wars, winters, and world changes, one thing has remained: the spirit of Vesper. A place built on respect, camaraderie, and the simple joy of time well spent.
