Meet The Vesper Staff

Robert Pescatore, CCM
General Manager/COO
Robert has worked at private clubs since his early days as a caddy at The Country Club (TCC). After spending 16 years in management at TCC, Bob went on and assisted with the development and start-up of Shelter Harbor Golf Club in Rhode Island, Boston Golf Club in Hingham, Boston Yacht Club in Marblehead and Dedham Country & Polo Club.  He is a Certified Club Manager and has served on the Board of the New England Club Managers Association.  His professional network has afforded him the opportunity to assist with operations at Augusta National Golf Club during the Masters, and Oakland Hills during the Ryder Cup Matches.  Most recently he assisted tournament operations at TCC for the U.S. Amateur.  Robert is originally from West Roxbury, and a graduate of Boston College Carroll School of Management.  He currently lives in Winchester with his wife Kerry and two boys, Michael and Joseph.

Stephen Doyle
Head Golf Professional
Stephen Doyle is a Massachusetts native and became the Head Golf Professional at Vesper Country Club in December of 2013. Prior to joining Vesper, Stephen was employed at The Country Club in Brookline, MA, recent host of the 2013 US Amateur and previous host of the Ryder Cup and numerous US Opens. Stephen spent the last 3 years at TCC serving as the First Assistant. Prior to TCC, Stephen was employed at PGA National, current home of the Honda Classic. Stephen resides in Boston, MA with his wife Dinara and their two boys, Paul and James.

Charlotte Hillery, CCM
Clubhouse Manager

As a native of Boston, Charlotte started her career in club management as an intern then manager in development at The Country Club in Brookline.  Following her graduation from Endicott College, a summer at Bald Peak, then a winter in Key Largo at the Anglers Club, she decided to spend most of her life working in the Mid Atlantic, at premier Clubs such as Chevy Chase and Congressional.  Wanting to move closer to home, she took a job at the Wianno Club in Osterville, then moved off Cape for her husbands career and worked seasonally at a few clubs, before landing year round here at Vesper. She is very active in the Endicott Alumni Community, serving on the Alumni Council and participating in student mentoring.  She is married to Radu Puiac and they have a labrador mix Bella, who is the center of attention in their household.  When there is time, they love to go for walks, hang out at the lake and go on long car rides.

Phil Devlin
Executive Chef
Phil started his career at Essex County Club where he worked his way up to the Executive Chef position while earning a culinary degree. He has studied at the Culinary Institute of America taking several courses focusing on international cuisine.
After Essex, Phil worked for the MIT Faculty Club and Boston University. He returned to private clubs as Executive Chef and General Manager of Boston Yacht Club. Most recently he served as General Manager of Black Swan CC and opened several restaurants for investors. Phil resides in Nahant with his wife Tara.

Ryan Emerich
Greens and Grounds Superintendent

Ryan joined the team in 2017, after eight years as Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent at Saucon Valley Country Club in Pennsylvania where he has managed all three course to the highest level. Throughout his tenure in the industry, Ryan has built a solid foundation of knowledge beginning with a quality education  at Penn State University with a BS degree in agriculture and turfgrass science. Ryan brings to Vesper strong leadership skills, agronomy knowledge and environmental sciences, construction experience, USGA tournament experience and a professional management approach to operations and communications. He and his wife Heather have two daughters Kendall and Laurel.

Brian Campbell

Brian comes to us with years of experience and most recently held the controller position for the last 5 years at Salem Country Club and was the Treasurer at Mt. Pleasant Golf Club in Lowell for 20 years.  

Irene Collette
Special Events Manager
Irene has been with Vesper for 20 years.  She has fulfilled a number of roles at the Club, including Dining Room Hostess, Assistant Dining Room Manager, and most recently, Banquet Manager.  Irene directs the sales department at the Club and is responsible for the coordination and execution of our events.
